I am so silly looking :(

So, my mom told me to stop scratching at this spot on the side of my face and I just wouldn't listen. It itches sooooo bad. Now I've done it.....I've scratched all of the hair off my face and a layer or two of skin off so Mom put me in this silly funnel.

I just hope that I get better by next week for my birthday party. I don't want to look like a dork at my party. I have my pride you know. Enough of that, Mom promised to post some better pics of me since it's been a month since our last post.

First of all, here's Katie being the princess Mom says she is taking a rest on a pillow on the couch. Mom makes me share my blog with Katie so here's a pic of her.
The dog daze of summer are really upon us here in Kentucky. Austin and Katie have had a hard day as you can tell.

Finally, some better pics of me.......

Aren't I handsome?? Well, Mom says I am, and I believe her.

This is where Katie and I wait for Mom to come through the front door. I'm not sure how that kid gets her head that way.

That's all for now!!

Katie's 4th Birthday **!!**

Yesterday was Katie's 4th birthday!!

We had a great time. My sister, Alisha, and brother, Austin, was here and Sara, Alisha's best friend came and brought her dog and Katie's pal, Buffet!!

Close up!!

YUM....

We had Frosty Paws Ice Cream and Katie even got some presents that she shared with Buffet.

Can't wait 'til my birthday next month.....

Even though it was Katie's big day, at the end of the day, I'm still Mom's favorite (but don't tell Katie)!!

Dad is busted!!

Dad says that he doesn't really like me. He is always calling me a mamma's boy and teasing me. Mom always tells me that Dad really does love me but is just not as affectionate as she is. Well, he is busted now. Mom caught him taking a nap with me just like she would do. I LOVE YOU TOO DAD!!!

Katie says HI!!

Oaks Day!!!!

Hello All -

Today is Oaks Day, and for those of you that don't know, Oaks Day is basically Derby Eve!!!! According to Mom , Derby Day is the BIGGEST day of the year. It's been rainy here in central Kentucky but the afternoon turned out nice so I hung out in the yard....but back to my point; the race track at Churchill Downs is pretty muddy and it may rain tomorrow. The horror of it!!! Derby Day should be one of the prettiest days of the year, again, according to Mom.
Aunt Beth has to work at the Derby Breakfast in the morning at the Capital, maybe she'll take some pretty pictures and post them for you all to see. Some of you may keep up with my cousin Bismark. He's a Boston Terrier FULL of energy, always on the go. If you haven't met him check him out...Adventures of Bismark. He's cool!!!

Me, in the yard!!

Katie has been her normal self today. Here I am, minding my own business and Katie decided to tease me with one of her toys. Now, I don't even like toys but.....if she's going to tease me I'm going to take it from her. I don't know why she keeps playing this game with me, I always win.

I'm taking it easy on her in this shot but see how she's standing on guard. She knows I'm gonna get it!!! Wish Mom would have got a shot of that!

Lastly, I just thought that I'd post this pic because it shows a quick snapshot of Mom's life. Everyone wants to be close to Mom, you'll see what I mean below. She was babysitting her best friends kids and well, you'll see....

Give me a break, what is this kid thinking??? I mean, I already have to make room for Katie but now a kid. Doesn't she know the saying "It's a dog's life". I guess it's okay though. Mom always says that she has enough love for everyone, I guess this is proof.

Have a great day. I hope your horse comes in tomorrow!!! Giddy up!

My First Posting...Boy, am I nervous!!

Hello-
My name is Bailey, Stillmeadow Bailey is my given name. I am a full-blooded, well bred bird dog. I live with my Mom and Dad, my sisters Katie and Kitty, and my human siblings, Alisha and Austin. I have a great life. It didn't start out so great though. I was sold to a man that wanted me to be his champion bird dog. That didn't pan out. Mom says that he wasn't treating me like I deserved to be treated. He gave me to her because he thought I was worthless and Mom thought I had a lot of value. So she took me home and the rest is history. Don't get me wrong, I am an excellent bird dog but as Mom says, I was meant to love, not hunt. So, I only hunt recreationally in the backyard.

My sis, Katie has been with us for a little over a year now. Mom rescued her too. She's really got the life. She sleeps right on Mom's pillow all tucked in between Mom's neck and shoulder. She snores really loud so I don't see how Mom stands it. Katie is a crazy dog. She snorts really funny but she's lots of fun.

Kitty, my other sister, doesn't have a lot to do with me or Katie unless she's hissing at us, and boy, does that scare us. She pretty much has the run of the house. Mom stole her. Well, stole may be a little harsh. Kitty decided several years ago, before I was around, that she wanted to live with Mom but she really belonged to the people down the street. She came and went as she still does but mostly stayed with Mom (Mom's dog Prissy had just died, so Kitty was helping her out). When Mom moved away from that neighborhood she couldn't decide if she should take Kitty with her but decided that she would on account that she grew to love that silly cat even though she hadn't really named her, she's allergic to cats, and Kitty doesn't even let Mom love on her. Cats are strange, everything has to be on their "terms".

My human siblings are really Dad's kids but Mom loves them as much as she can imagine she'd love her own kids if she had any (Alisha is the girl on the far right - she's really pretty, and this is a picture of Austin with Dad). I don't think she loves them as much as she loves me but, hey, that's just my gut feeling. They are at our house a lot and are lots of fun. They are 16 and 12 and have lots of friends that hang out at our house too so it's usually busy at home.

I have lots to share and hope to make some friends by creating my blog. Drop me a line if you want. I'd better go for now.
